Usage Limits
How message limits and conversation length work in Dekipi Nova
Usage Limits
To keep Nova fast and reliable for everyone, each account has some usage limits. Most people never notice them during normal day-to-day use.
Message limits
Your account has a limit on how much you can chat with Nova within a rolling few-hour period, and a separate, larger limit over a rolling week. These limits reset gradually over time rather than all at once at a fixed hour.
Free accounts have lower limits than paid plans. If you find yourself running into limits often, upgrading your plan gives you significantly more room.
If you reach a limit, you'll see a message explaining which limit was hit and roughly when you'll be able to send messages again. You can still read your existing conversations — you just won't be able to send new messages until the limit resets.
Conversation length
Each individual conversation also has a maximum length it can hold, since Nova needs to keep the whole conversation "in view" to respond well. As you get close to that limit, you'll see a banner letting you know.
Approaching the limitA yellow banner appears showing roughly how much of the conversation's capacity has been used. You can keep chatting normally.
Limit reachedA red banner appears saying the conversation is full. At this point, start a new chat to continue — your existing conversation and everything in it stays saved and available to read.
Tips to make the most of your limits
- Start a new chat for a new topic. Conversations that mix many unrelated topics use up length faster than they need to.
- Summarize before continuing, if a very long conversation is approaching its limit — ask Nova to summarize the key points, then paste that summary into a fresh chat.
